Importance of Korean Language Education and Literary Education as Total Language EducationLim, Kyung-SoonThis thesis tried to give recognition about importance of Korean Language Education and Literary education as total language education. These days, Debating about Korean Language education curriculum, we ought to worry about Korean Language education. First, we should enhance study paradigm of Korean Language Education for self-decision reinforcement of studies. For the sake of it, we need to try to find new theory and its systematization.Especially, Literary education don't consider literary practice as a simple skill and divided act. But Literary education studies had to find consistency with skill based studies. For example, activity is important concept achieved among them. Activity rolled out expression and understanding, and literary education reconceptualized speaking, listening, reading, writing etc. Nothing is more importance than new paradigm opening. It is that reconceptualize "Korean Language Education is Total Language Education". One of new concepts in Korean Language Education, "What is Korean Language Education?". This thesis define it as a project and practice for the formation of well-being(eudaimonia) through cultivating of Korean(Language) ability. It's contents consist of not simple skills and isolated propositions but meaning and value of total activity. Activity as practice have qualities of totality, value, excellence, morality etc. Accomplishing these qualities is very important task of Korean language education and Literary education as new total language education
