.This study aims to examine and understand the characteristics of fragmentary sentences using connective ending. For this study, the conversations of TV programs “Where is my friend’s home?” and “Flower Young Boy”, that feature conversations about leaving on a trip were transcribed into phonetic annotations. The result from the speech corpus specifically the phonetic annotations of non-natives and natives shows that non-natives used 15,170 words, which is equivalent to 7 hours and 18 minutes, while natives used 15,437 words, which is equivalent to 7 hours and 34 minutes, in their normal conversations. Both groups utilized various forms such as nouns, adverbs, determiners, connective endings and interjections as fragmentary sentences. The types of connective endings non-natives used were 13, while natives used 17. Additionally, the number of the repeated connective endings was 10. The study established a spoken corpus , and it confirmed the association of a closing expression and its situation in authentic conversations by providing examples that appeared in phonetic annotations. This could be utilized in the education context that pursues a “fine spoken” and “natural” Korean language.
