This study investigated the correlations between cosmetics purchase evaluation criteria and shopping orientation per college-age women’s aesthetic consciousness. For data analysis, descriptive statistics were conducted using SPSS ver. 20.0. To examine the research questions, frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, independent sample t-test and multiple regression analysis were performed. The study results found the following: First, according to an analysis of cosmetics purchase evaluation criteria according to college-age women’s aesthetic consciousness, practicality was the most considered, followed by aesthetic appreciation in the group of high aesthetic cognition, compared to the group of low aesthetic cognition. Second, in terms of cosmetics shopping orientation, brand loyalty-focused purchasing was most popular, followed by economic efficiency-focused purchasing and impulse purchasing in a group of high aesthetic cognition, compared to a group of low aesthetic cognition. Third, according to an analysis of correlations between cosmetics purchase evaluation criteria and purchase orientation by college women’s aesthetic consciousness, ‘economic efficiency-centered purchasing and practicality’ was the highest, followed by ‘impulse purchasing and aesthetic appreciation’ and ‘brand loyalty-centered purchasing and aesthetic appreciation,’ showing a positive correlation in all factors
