The current study aims to demonstrate the causal relationships of LMX, service innovative behavior, work-family balance and adaptive performance of Y-Generation hoteliers in Korea. This study also tested the mediating roles of service innovative behavior and work-family balance between LMX and adaptive performance. The study model was designed on the basis of PROCESS Macro Model 6 proposed by Hayes(2013). In order to achieve the study purpose, data collected from 268 hotel employees who were born from 1981 to 2000. To analyze the data, frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, and PROCESS Macro analysis were undertaken using SPSS 18.0. The results indicated that LMX had a significantly positive effect on work-family balance, service innovative behavior and adaptive performance. Work-family balance was positively related to adaptive performance. However, there was no evidence for the effect of work-family balance on service innovative behavior. Service innovative behavior had a positive effect on adaptive performance. Work-family balance and service innovative behavior was determined as a significant mediator between LMX and adaptive performance. At the last chapter, implications of the empirical results and limitations of the study are discussed.
