This study aimed to develop an inquiry program of biology field trip for elementary preservice teachers and to implement it. It is very important for students to inquire by themselves in elementary biology course, especially field work, because they could learn the way to inquiry. Preservice teachers must learn therefore how to teach the way of inquiry. In our research, 120 Korean elementary preservice teachers participated in the field-trip program, they each acted in a team of 3 or 4 members. The program was consisted of three steps. The first step was the activity as pre- work at school, the second was the field-work at the location which was the main activity. The last step was the post-work at school which was included of doing the additional experiments, writing final report, and submitting it. This research has developed the program of learning the way to self-inquiry in field trip at natural open space. The preservice teachers who participated in the program answered that this program was valuable to their biology teaching efficacy on the questionnaire administrated after the program. It is expected that this program would contribute to elementary biology education.
