This study was investigated to identify the consistency between the curricula for pre-service biology teacher education and Test for Biology Teachers' Appointment and to suggest the implication for pre-service biology teachers. The curricula of the department of biology education in eleven college of education, the items of Teachers' Appointment Test from 1999 to 2003 and the curricula for pre-service biology teachers were analyzed. The results of this study showed that the curricula for pre-service biology teachers were not effective and were strongly connected with secondary school biology curricula. Biology Teachers' Appointment Test never did consider the curricula for secondary school pre-service biology teachers. It is suggested that the curricula of the college of education should be standardized appropriately for pre-service biology teachers and should reflect Test for Biology Teachers' Appointment.
