본 증례를 통해 알 수 있듯이 임상에서 흔히 접하게 되는 호산구증가증의 한 원인으로 드물게 발생하는 PDGFRB 재배열을 동반한 골수종양에 대한 고려가 반드시 필요할 것으로 생각된다. 이는 과거에는 매우 불량한 예후를 보이던 본 질환에서 글리벡의 표적이 밝혀진 후 예후가 향상되고 있기 때문이다.
