In this paper I want to talk about the human quest for fullness or for eternal life from scientific and theological perspectives. Based on some of the contemporary scientific discoveries, this paper focuses on the power of ‘here and now’ leading towards a fullness of life or eternal life. I try to argue that the fulfillment we long for has its origin in the spatial and temporal domains. Further, I try to indicate that the eternal life that Jesus promises us transcends these spatio-temporal categories, without totally negating them. In this sense the whole of reality, including ourselves, is “already, and not yet,” and is in the process of self-realization.
