The Hitler-Jugend is the typical case of Nazi Germany’s youth policy. This article focused on it for this reason. Firstly, this article deals with why the Hitler-Jugend organized and what was the historical background and circumstances of it. And also this article analyses which relationship had early national socialist movement with society. Secondly, by focusing the activities and organization of the Hitler-Jugend before Hitler, this article clarified the contribution of it to the National Socialist’s gaining power. In addition, it also explained the difference of the Hitler-Jugend before and after the Nazi regime. Thirdly, this article dealt with the changing characteristics of Hitler-Jugend and the mechanism which compelled it to change. Furthermore, how Nazi forced to be changed for other youth organizations except Hitler-Jugend was dealt with in this article. Consequently, Hitler-Jugend organization originated from the tradition of Wandervogel movement, militaristic culture in imperial period and chaotic social background in Weimar republic. The Hitler-Jugend grew into the most aggressive youth political organization in the changing circumstances of Weimar period and contributed to the Hitler’s gaining power. After Nazi regime realized, the Hitler-Jugend succeeded to become national unified youth organization. For the raising of future soldier who performed the Nazi ideology, the Hitler-Jugend did pivotal role. The Hitler-Jugend disappeared with the defeat of World War II, it is necessary to remember the historical lesson of the Hitler-Jugend as a deformation of modernities and pay attention to the possibility of revival of another Hitler-Jugend today.
