This research studies the application of a recently discussed concept, Space, to Science Culture. By performing a case study on the City of Science program in Germany, we intend to observe the interrelation between Science Culture activities in a specific space and Innovation of City. The City of Science program in Germany has been conducted successfully, focusing on the following three areas: firstly, with this program as a motivation for cities or municipalities, an association takes to give a chance to make science, economy, culture, and politics networked organically. And experiences that a city learned through City of Science spread into continuous and dynamic Science Culture movement, which grows into Social Capital that is necessary for innovation in and around cities. Secondly, interests for science create an atmosphere to escalate into constant dialogue with society. For this, City of Science selected plans a Science Culture program that could share scientific knowledge with the masses, laying emphasis on ‘Public Understanding of Science (PUS)’ and ‘Science in Dialog (Wissenschaft im Dialog)’. Lastly, the City of Science program should improve all sorts of environment of citizens and offer a motivation for city innovations beyond deliver science knowledge to customers. For this, many cities of science in Germany have developed or performed various programs such as Science Culture, innovation of region, lifelong study, economy or politics, and so forth. Therefore, the program City of Science, that is being promoted by German donors’ association for sciences and the humanities (Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft) would certainly become an innovation one not only to make up a boom for Science Culture in a specific city space but also to be used as an opportunity for city development.
