In this paper, I examined the types of the Korean compound word exclamations based on the internal structure, and the factors that determine the whole composition of them as exclamation. For these purposes, I consider all of the compound word excerpts listed in 󰡔Standard Korean Language Dictionary󰡕 as object in this paper. Especially, I focused on the word-type compound exclamations that composed of exclamations. First, there were two types in ‘combined type of exclamation not used as another part of speech’; the type in which the leading and trailing elements are both exclamations, and the type in which the preceding element is an exclamation. Second, there were three types in ‘type with exclamation used for other parts of speech’; the type that the preceding element is an exclamation used as another part of speech, the type that the both preceding element and trailing element are an exclamation used as another part of speech, and the type that the trailing element is an exclamation used as another part of speech. Third, there were two types in ‘type that contains components whose grammatical categories are unclear’; the type of the preceding element whose grammatical category is unclear, and the type of the trailing element whose grammatical category is unclear. I examined the internal structure of these types of the compound exclamations by focusing on the meaning of the components. And as a result, I have examined the parts of these compound exclamations.
