As interest in the quality of housing increases, necessity and demand for housing welfare specialists(HWS) are gradually increasing. The purpose of the study was to analyze how housing welfare perception affect the career choices of the youth and to provide information for the development of HWS, new occupation. The data for the analysis was collected through online questionnaire survey method from June 11 to July 20, 2019, and the sample consisted of 104 youth respondents, age between 19 to 39. The results were as follows : 1) Youth recognized that the purpose of welfare policy was to make all of the people live well and that the government was responsible for it. Welfare perception was higher in the group whose subjective economic level was not good. 2) The youth"s perception of housing welfare and housing welfare policy is low. 3) Given that only five years have passed since the HWS qualification system was implemented, the awareness of HWS is not low. 4) In the duty of HWS, women showed a higher interest than men. 5) Youth agreed with the need for HWS but did not think of it as their job.
