Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the foreign player’s operation system perceived by women’s professional basketball spectators on reviewing intention through association with team trust, team attachment, and foreign player’s familiarity.
Method: We surveyed the spectators who watched KB Kookmin Bank and Samsung Life home games that entered the 2018-2019 WKBL post-season championship. The sampling used the convenience sampling method among non-probability sampling methods. The questionnaires were written using a self-administration method. Of the 268 questionnaires collected, 3 copies were inappropriate to be used because of unfaithful responses or data, and 265 were selected as the final valid sample.
Results: The research model set as a result of the data processing was found to be appropriate, and the results of the hypothesis test were as follows. First, the foreign player’s operation system had a positive effect on team trust. Second, the foreign player’s operation system had a positive effect on team attachment. Third, team trust had a positive effect on the foreign player’s familiarity. Fourth, team attachment had a positive effect on the foreign player’s familiarity. Fifth, the foreign player’s familiarity had a positive effect on reviewing intention.
Conclusion: The foreign player operation system is an important antecedent variable in revisit intention, so the positive aspects of the system should be strengthened and the negative aspects should be supplemented so that they can be successfully settled in the Women’s Korean Basketball league.
