The purpose of this article is to explore the dynamic relationship between wisdom and creation through an analysis of Proverbs 8:22-31. With a canonical approach I tried to consider the intention of the author and the text, and the interpretation of the reader. As a result, wisdom is found to be of incredible value above what we have ever thought. First, wisdom had been in existence a very long time ago. Above all, the participation of wisdom in the creation process of this world gives us extraordinary meaning. For God did not create the world alone but with a helper named wisdom next to Him. Furthermore, this wisdom plays the role of a mediator between God and human beings. Wisdom is, so to speak, not an object or a concept, but it has personality like human beings. So wisdom is often described in Proverbs as calling people on the street. According to the result of this study, we should change our understanding of wisdom. The reason is that people do not own wisdom, but rather it leads them. Therefore, if we want to be wise, we have to get close to it, not learn it. One step further from there, we get to find God, the source of wisdom. So the authors of wisdom literature repeatedly emphasize that “the fear of the Lord is wisdom.”
