Report Errors
The purpose of this study is to analyze structural factors for changes in GHG emission of Korea-ETS participating entities through LMDI decomposition methodology using data from 2012 to 2017. LMDI decomposes GHG emission into 4 factors; activity effect, structure effect, energy intensity effect, emission factor effect. Increase in GHG emission was due to activity effect and emission factor effect while structure effect and energy intensity effect were found as decrease factors. Activity effect had a role for reducing GHG emission between 2013 and 2016. In addition, activity effect was found to be the main increase factor for GHG emission of the large emission sectors such as power sector, iron manufacturing, etc., while structure effect had a role to decrease GHG emission.
