The purpose of this study was to provide basic data on the academic development of surfing events through analysis of differences in sensory weighting structure, exercise emotion, and exercise persistence intention according to the participation purpose and participation level of surfing participants. The participants in the East Coast I area were selected for surfing, and the differences were verified by frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and one-way ANOVA with SPSS 23.0 statistical analysis package. The following conclusions were obtained. First, there were no difference between the groups in terms of sensory support structure according to the purpose of participation of surfboard participants, and exercise emotion and exercise intention are higher in the group that wants to improve the quality of life and the participant who wants to surf mania. appear. Second, the level of sensory weight, exercise emotion, and exercise intention according to the level of participation of surfboard participants was higher than that of other groups. In addition, the psychological stress was higher in the intermediate group due to the desire to surf well. Psychological negative stress was higher in the intermediate group. Therefore, in order to find the ultimate direction of surfing, surf education and related parties in the surfing business should ensure that the correct purpose of surf participation is preceded by surf participants.
