Purpose: Today, various housing policies are being implemented to stabilize housing under the situation of rapid income polarization in our society. In particular, after the introduction of the public rental housing system in Korea, its importance has been emphasized day by day in terms of providing the role of the safety net for the common people"s living in our society. The purpose of this study is to systematically identify and analyze the current status and problems appearing in the residential community of public rental housing, and to explore the architectural planning direction to promote the residential community. Method: In this study, it is to conduct research by reviewing literature such as research reports and research papers on community facilities and building plans for public rental housing in Korea and by analyzing cases of happy housing, national rental housing, and permanent rental housing, which are types of public rental housing in Korea. Result: Based on the findings derived from the analysis, this research is to provide a theoritical foundation for the establishment of a new architectural planning approach strategy for the residential community facility plan for the revitalization of residential communities required by public rental housing in Korea.
