Purpose
This study aimed to determine the accuracy of BSGI for assessing the diagnostic performance and the residual tumor size according to molecular subtypes in patients with residual calcified lesions on mammography (MMG) after neoadjuvant systemic therapy (NST).
Methods
This is a single-center, retrospective study. Female breast cancer patients who showed suspicious-looking microcalcifications in post-NST MMG and who underwent preoperative BSGI exams and subsequent breast surgery from January 2, 2013 to December 30, 2014 were included. Final patho-logic tumor size and biomarker status were obtained from postoperative specimen. The residual tumor size of BSGI and post-NST MMG were calcu-lated and compared with pathologic results used as the gold standard.
