This study examines the trends of wage gap between large firm with more than 300 employees and small firm with more than 10 and less than 300 employees in Korea from year 1980 to year 2018. For analyses on the changes of firm size wage gap, this article uses the Oaxaca-Blinder decomposition methods with reweighting approach, and the methods for the wage decomposition which are based on unconditional quantile regression with reweighting approach that were proposed by Firpo, Fortin, Lemieux(2018) and Fortin, Lemiuex and Firpo(2011). The results show that the wage gap between large and small firm rose significantly since 1987 because both composition effects and wage structure effects were increased. In the early 1990s the wage gap by firm size did not rise, and increased again from the mid-1990s to year 2015. This increase in wage gap by firm size had different characteristics by quantiles. Since year 2015, the wage gap between large and small firm has narrowed as composition effects and wage structure effects have decreased.
