The fourth industrial revolution encompasses areas which are not normally classified as industry, such as smart cities for instance. Although the terms of fourth industrial revolution is often used interchangeably, it refers to the concept of factories in which machines are augmented with wireless connectivity and sensors, connected to a system that can visualize the entire production line and make decisions on its own. In essence, fourth industrial revolution describes the trend towards automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies and processes which include cyber physical systems, the internet of things, industrial internet of things, cloud computing, cognitive computing and artificial intelligence. The fourth industrial revolution is a period in which one or more technologies is replaced by another technology in a short amount of time. It is an era of accelerated technological progress characterized by new innovations whose rapid application and diffusion cause an abrupt change in society. This study identifies the perception of the fourth industrial revolution in our society, and then look at the implications of the fourth industrial revolution. This study examined the social perception of the fourth industrial revolution and studied its implications for public organization, especially for Korea veterans health service.
