The Fourth Industrial Revolution is the latest industrial era bringing innovative transformation in all parts of the existing economy, industry, and society through advancements in the intelligence information systems, such as artificial intelligence (AI), The Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, big data, and mobile technologies. What distinguishes the Fourth Industrial Revolution is the speed of change and connection. If the rate of technological progress in the past was sufficiently slow to enable people to adapt, since the Third Industrial Revolution, new technological developments engulf us faster than we can catch up. To complicate the matter, the Fourth Industrial Revolution combines artificial intelligence with various specialties to evolve in unprecedented ways. Yet this, too, is under the sovereignty of God, and it is God who leads in God’s mission until the end of days. Industrial revolutions had transformed human society and culture, first from the long-sustained agrarian to the industrial society, then into the information society. In these shifting contexts, Christian mission has also developed new methods and expanded its bounds. Therefore, as we face the Fourth Industrial Revolution, we are called to keep the essence of the mission while also developing strategies to communicate with this era.
