“Bukehanjo” is a work that explains the origins of the samurai family by weaving the stories of China and Japan about ‘military art’. It’s a subject worthy of study as not only a myth of military regime also work contained several Medieval-Nihongi. But research has not progressed in earnest until now, there are still a lot of unclear parts. Specially, it can be said there is no study about “Bukehanjo” as a whole. In this paper, to understand “Bukehanjo” as a whole, I examined the characteristic expressions of “Bukehanjo” with clues to the ruling ideology shown in “Bukehanjo”. I have grasped the ruling ideology emphasized in “Bukehanjo” as ‘ideal ruling form’ and ‘ruler and ruled values’. And I tried to identify main intention of the producer through confirming the content of the text reflecting the ruling ideology. As a result of the study, I could understand two things. First, “Bukehanjo” was made based on the purpose which is claiming the legitimacy and justification of military regime which was began at Yoritomo. Secondly, this definite intention created an original expressions that distinguish it from other stories. “Bukehanjo” can be defined as the mythical text of the military regime that consciously selects and revises the story.
