I could know that Korean caltholic funeral song, Yeondo's history which was sung only in Busan is sung by Yeondo's melody of『Seonggyo Yegyu』(1964) and『Seonggyo Yegyu』(1992),『Catholic Prayer for the Dead book』(2001),『Catholic Prayer for the Dead』(2013). This study examined the history of, which only in Busan, and the Yeondo musical composition『Catholic Prayer for the Dead』, a song for funeral ceremonies that was published in 2001. Yeondo musical composition follows the structural scale of Menaritori, which is the musical language of the Gyeongsang Province, and is mainly formed using the melodious characteristics of e Gyemyeonjo. For the effect of recitation, the same sounds are repeated while the song is in progress at an accelerando tempo. Three syllable lyrics and rhythms are generally expressed in the form < long short-long, one syllable+two syllable>. However, in『Catholic Prayer for the Dead』, three syllables are expressed in the form “< short-long long, two syllable+one syllable>. This modified formation of rhythm creates a syncopathic effect in singing by placing an accent on the note. We hypothesized that this was closely related to the strong accents of the Gyeongsang Province dialect. Through field music research, we examined the identity of the Yeondo melodies in the Busan district. For the first starting rhythm “gipeun-/” and another starting rhythm “Junim-/” after the central cadence, the ascending sounds were expressed and were pronounced using < short-long>. The weak sound of the first note < short> and the strong sound of the following note < long> reflected the accent of Gyeongsang Province. From the 41st to the 43rd column of <Psalms 51>, the g and e sounds were either interchanged, or the E sound was repeated in order to lend a sense of tempo. The melody of <Litany of the Saints> was formed using a combination of the g-a-e-B-e-e melody of the funeral ceremony song『Seonggyo Yegyu』, which was published in 1992 and previously sung in Seoul, and the e-g-e melody of the funeral ceremony song “『Catholic Prayer for the Dead』, which was published in 2001 in Busan. It was often noted that once the Yeondo melody, which had been orally transmitted, became standardized in five-lined sheet music, the B·e·g sounds that it was composed of unintentionally surfaced in singing.
