In this paper, we propose to improve EPS vibration through a new method called double variable notch filters by improving variable notch filters being used in EPS. Using variable notch filters is important for improving NVH performance in EPS. The Variable notch filter currently in use has the function of removing only one order component. We can’t control bandwidth independently. This adversely affects the sense of steering by reducing torque vibration to Hz in an undesired area. To solve this problem, we propose a new variable notch filter and apply double variable notch filter approach to remove double order components. Through the simulation result, we prove that the proposed scheme is effective.
