The purpose of this study is to examine learners" academic achievement, learning effect, and creative problem-solving ability through project based learning(PBL). This study was held in second semester of 2021 for 15 weeks as face-to-face classes for 33 sophomore taking a subject of Airline Service Case Study. In order to overcome the crisis in the aviation industry caused by COVID-19, problems were explored and topics were selected. Through the process of forming consensus and presenting ideas and discussing, presenting, evaluating, and reflecting on each topic, it was possible to establish the foundation for students" participation and cooperative learning. As service analysis and creative service proposals were made in each topic, problem-solving skills could be cultivated, and student satisfaction and learning skills could be improved. In addition, by incorporating design thinking in the task performance stage, more sophisticated service alternatives could be proposed by going through five stages of Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test that fit each topic. In the future, it is necessary to derive objective learning outcomes through quantitative evaluation, away from qualitative research based on class content.
