A JLPT preparation class of the major elective course in Busan National University of Foreign Studies’ was conducted to analyze the class contents and learners’ perceptions of the activities performed during the class. The following results were revealed through this review.(1) Learners positively recognize that the JLPT countermeasure class is helpful for students aiming to take the JLPT test. (2) They have a positive perception of presenting Korean translations for Chinese characters vocabulary.(3) The activity of reading and translating questions in textbooks is helpful for learners to learn vocabulary.(4) Half of the learners who were placed in charge of the class posted what they read and translated on the bulletin board, and noted that half of the learners in the Korean language section also posted on the bulletin board, which helped them to learn Japanese. (6) Half of the learners recognized that understanding the JLPT problem was helpful. (7) Learners perceived that the teacher’s explanation of the sentence type, was helpful for learning Japanese. (8) Learners also perceived that the skills required to read Japanese sentences and translate them into Korean increased through the classes. They also cited receiving tips on solving tests and improving their understanding of sentence types as advantages. (9) Time can be used efficiently to provide prior notices when deciding who is in charge of reading and translating improvements.
