Recently, as anticipation of COVID-19 endemic has increased, the demand for overseas travel as a form of revenge travel has been rapidly increasing. However, empirical studies related to the subject are insufficient. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the effect of COVID-19 fatigue and travel involvement on revenge travel desire and overseas travel behavioral intentions in the post-pandemic era. A total of 430 data samples from a survey were used for empirical analysis, excluding inappropriate data. The results of the verification of the research hypothesis through the structural equation model are as follows. First, COVID-19 fatigue and travel involvement were found to have a positive effect on revenge travel desire in the post-pandemic era. Second, revenge travel desire was found to have a positive effect on overseas travel intention and willingness to pay a premium for travel in the post-pandemic era. Third, as a result of verifying the indirect effect of the research model, it was found that COVID-19 fatigue and travel involvement had a positive effect on overseas travel intention and willingness to pay a premium for travel through the revenge travel desire. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the demand for revenge travel to overcome the COVID blues and to satisfy travel desires can lead to the resilience of overseas travel demand in the post-pandemic era.
