반려동물 양육 가구 수가 증가함에 따라 반려동물의 실종이나 죽음 후 보호자가 상실감, 우울감 등의 심리적 문제를 겪는 현상인 ‘펫 로스 증후군’을 호소하는 사람들이 증가하고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 온라인 커뮤니티 기반 펫 로스 증후군 케어 어플리케이션 ‘더레브’를 제안한다. 해당 서비스는 충분한 추모와 사회적 지지를 통하여 펫 로스 증후군 회복을 실현할 수 있다. 이를 위해 퍼소나, 메타포, 유스케이스 다이어그램, 그리고 사용자 시나리오 기법을 토대로 커뮤니티 기반 펫 로스 증후군 케어 어플리케이션의 컨셉을 도출하고 구체화하였다. 본 연구를 통해 온라인 커뮤니티에 기반한 펫 로스 증후군 케어 서비스라는 새로운 접근법을 제시하고, 이를 토대로 펫 로스 증후군 회복 효과를 향상시키고자 한다.
