Report Errors

This study investigates the effect of COVID-19 on the dynamics of women’s employment. The data reveal that the employment situation of married women worsened more than that of married men after COVID-19 except during the fourth wave of pandemic. We also find that many married women have transitioned from employment to non-participation, in particular during the first and second waves of COVID-19. This transition pattern for married women is strong enough to offset the added worker effect during COVID-19.
