This study aims to explore the educational value of the Korean dance club activities at International High School, a special purpose high school. To this end, the case study method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was attempted, where one advisor and three dance club students were selected as the research participants suitable for the research problem. The results of the study are summarized below. First, through their Korean dance club activities, students had various experiences through community performances, dance education services, charity performances to help North Korean defectors, and overseas cultural exchanges. Second, the experiences of students participating in the Korean dance club activities could be viewed and interpreted as having educational values, such as ‘a place for communication education’, ‘re-exploration of career paths’, and ‘rediscovery of Korean culture’. Based on the above research results, it can be seen that the Korean dance club activities, which are creative experiential activities of the national curriculum, provide students with various socio-cultural experiences and contribute to holistic education for well-rounded growth in students’ physical expression, cultural understanding, and emotional development. Therefore, it is expected that students will be able to experience creative and diverse artistic activities within the school curriculum by actively encouraging these art club activities in more school sites.
