One of the issues require social solutions today is the aging of population. The economic burden in preparation for increased life expectancy has changed from a personal problem to national problem. In this case of China, as it enters an aging society, serious problems caused by verious factors are expected. As the recent pendemic continues to sweep the world, people’s jobs and work patterns are changing. A typical example is home-working, and the type of work is affecting not only the main age groups in the industry, but also the jobs of the elderly. There is a trend to expand employment through this type of work even in the simple labor market, where many elderly people enter. The indoor environment mainly used by the elderly should be provided in consideration of the physical and psychological changes of old age. In addition to this, it is very important for the elderly working from home to increase their life satisfaction by considering the work environment in a residential environment, and to provide an environment the does not cause difficulties in work due to age. This study presents guidelines for interior design as an alternative to providing a home-work environment to enable the elderly to continue economic activities while considering the current residential environment in China and the life of elderly Chinese. Asfor the progress of this study, a literature study was conducted on the characteristics of the elderly, the characteristics of space used by the elderly, and the home-working environment. Also, a survey was conducted on the atatus of residential space use among the elderly during their tenure in China. Based on this, the interior design guidelines for the elderly to work from home were presented by reflecting the needs of the elderly and the principles of universal design.

오늘날 사회적 해결책이 요구되는 이슈 가운데 하나는 ‘인구 고령화 문제’ 이다. 늘어난 수명에 대비한 경제적부담은 개인의 문제에서 국가적인 문제로 바뀌어 졌다. 중국의 경우에도 고령 사회로 진입하게 되면서, 다양한 요인으로 발생하는 심각한 문제가 예상된다. 최근 세계를 휩쓸고 있는 펜데믹 현상이 지속되는 가운데 사람들의 일자리와 업무 형태까지 변화되고 있다. 대표적인 것이 재택근무이며, 이런 근무 형태는 산업의 주력 연령대뿐만 아니라 노인의 일자리에도 영향을 미치고있다. 노인의 진입이 많은 단순 노동의 시장에서도 이런 근무 형태를 통해 고용을 확대해 나가는 추세이다. 노인이 주로 사용하는 실내 환경은 노년기의 신체적 심리적 변화를 고려하여 제공되어야 한다. 재택근무 노인들은 여기에서 더하여 주거 환경에서 근무의 환경을 배려하여 삶의 만족도를 높여야 하고, 노화에 따른 근무에 어려움을 초래하지 않도록 쾌적한 환경을 제공해 주는 것이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구는 중국의 현재 주거 환경과 노령 중국인의 생활을 고려하면서, 노인들의 지속적인 경제활동을 가능하게하기 위한 재택근무 환경을 마련할 수 있도록 실내디자인의 고려사항을 제시하는 것이다. 연구의 진행은 노인의특성과 노인 사용 공간의 특성, 그리고 재택근무 환경에 관하여 문헌 연구를 하였고, 또한 중국 산동성 임기시의노인들을 대상으로 하여 주거 공간 이용 실태에 대해 설문조사를 실시하였다. 이를 바탕으로 하여, 노인의 요구와유니버설 디자인의 원리들을 반영하여 노인 재택근무를 위한 실내디자인 문제인식 후에 고려 사항을 제시하였다.
