Abstract This paper aims to analyze how the narrative structures of ‘Aladin’ are different when it is made in two genres, animation and movie. This paper explores the change of the identity on the female protagonist. Differences on the structure of two works, animation and movie did not seem to be found, while the female protagonist’s identity seemed to be changed a lot. Jasmine, the female protagonist of movie ‘Aladin’(2019), tends to show more independent and self-confident personality than animation ‘Aladin’(1993). She struggled to fight against hardships facing her and to make her own decision for her future. The paper expects that there will be more remake films which, to some degrees, reflect the change of society and current thoughts. Especially, more and more films are expected to reestablish gender equality than ever before.
