The primary purpose of this study was to identify life changes of directors due to Covid-19 pandemic and to examine its impacts on the management of daycare centers. Using textual analysis, 10 participants took part in this study. As an investigation of participants’ understandings, thoughts, and perceptions regarding their life experiences during covid-19 crisis, this study was based on constructivist grounded theory. This approach acknowledges participants as co-constructors of meaning and foregrounds their life experiences and concerns. Accordingly, this method enabled the researcher to explore the directors’ experiences and changes associated with the environmental changes in the Covid-19 pandemic. The findings are as follows: First, the directors of daycare centers faced with psychological difficulties due to the reduction of close human relationships, increase of excessive stress, and constraints to physically active leisure activities. Second, the directors experienced problems in increased responsibilities, worriness in relation to children’s development, daycare centers’ financial stability, and reduction of quality of daycare centers and children’s health. Results highlighted that the directors of daycare centers need to actively engage in physical activities during leisure time to maintain and improve their health and happiness. In addition, it is necessary for government to financially support daycare centers to survive in this unprecedented pandemic situation.
