The purpose of this study was to categorize university students' perceptions of non-face-to-face classes conducted to cope with the COVID-19 incident and to investigate their characteristics. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the Q Methodology was applied, and the study was conducted using the final extracted 31 Q samples and 23 P samples. The data collected through the Q classification of the P sample were analyzed by the QUANL program, and the perception of non-face-to-face class participation was classified into a total of five types. Type 1 was self-directed learning ability recognition type, Type 2 was non-face-to-face class environment dissatisfaction recognition type, Type 3 was communication dissatisfaction recognition type, Type 4 was The usefulness of using time and space recognition type, and Type 5 was professor’s non-face-to-face class competency dissatisfaction type. Based on the results of this study, it was discussed that different approach strategies were needed to improve university students’ academic achievement and adaptability. Furthermore, in the post-COVID-19 era, it suggested tasks necessary for the successful operation of non-face-to-face classes that universities should have for student success.
