A Case Study for the Immersive Content Service in LibrariesEunju Lee Abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate the technology of best practices that provide immersive content, and then to propose consideration for developing immersive content in public libraries. The research method is a multi-case study. To this end, the National Museum of Korea, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, and the National Library of Korea, which preemptively applied immersive content, were analyzed. After examining seven technologies for immersive content, analyzing immersive content technology for three cases, and discussing what should be considered when setting the direction for developing immersive content in public libraries. The most widely used technology was VR, and projection mapping, online exhibition, and AI were also being used a lot, but no institution used five-sense media technology. In the future, when developing immersive content in public libraries, it will be necessary to actively utilize the five-sense media technology, but to properly mix various technologies.
