The purpose of this study is to verify the effect of the professor-student exchange relationship of dance majors on the intention to continue dance and the mediating effect of dance ability achievement. To achieve the purpose of the study, 430 men and women majoring in dance at six four-year universities in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do were sampled through convenience extraction using a questionnaire measuring professor-student exchange relationship, dance continuity intention, and dance ability achievement. After reviewing the validity and reliability of the questionnaire, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation model analysis were conducted using SPSS 24.0 and Amos 24.0 programs for statistical analysis, and the results derived after analysis are as follows. First, it was found that the professor-student exchange relationship of dance major students had an effect on the achievement of dance ability. Second, it was found that the dance achievement ability of dance majors had an effect on the intention to continue dance. Third, it was found that the professor-student exchange relationship of dance major students had an effect on the intention to continue dance. Fourth, it was found that the achievement of dance ability plays a mediating role in the effect of the professor-student exchange relationship of dance majors on the intention to continue dance.
