The purpose of this study is to examine the factors affecting housing satisfaction and residential environment satisfaction perceived by residents by type of public rental housing, and to present policy basic data for future construction supply. The results of this study are as follows. First, it was confirmed that there is a difference in the influencing factors on housing satisfaction and residential environment satisfaction. In particular, it can be seen that there are various variable factors that affect residential environment satisfaction compared to housing satisfaction. Second, 'house structure', which represents the solidity and crack condition of a house, has an effect on housing satisfaction. Third, it was confirmed that among the types of public rental housing, there are differences in the influencing factors in permanent rental housing, 50-year rental housing, and national rental housing, which can be occupied by the socially vulnerable, compared to 10-year public rental housing, which will be sold in the future. Fourth, among the sub-factors of residential environment satisfaction, accessibility to living convenience facilities, educational environment, and relationship with neighbors were confirmed to differ by type. In particular, it was found that ‘relationship with neighbors’ had an effect on satisfaction with the living environment.
