Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the mediating effesct of satisfaction in the relationship between the flow experience in golf among MZ generation and their intention to adhere to exercise.
Method: The subjects were 252 MZ generation golfers in Gyeonggi-do and Gyeongsangbuk-do province from April 1, 2023 to July 30, 2023. Data were analyzed using a combination statistical methods including frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliabiltiy analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation modeling. The software tools SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 18.0 were used for data processing.
Results: The results of the study are as follows: First, MZ generation golf immersion had a positive effects on satisfaction. Second, the flow of MZ generation golf had a positive effect on their intention to adhere to exercise. Third, satisfaction with golf among the MZ generation positively influenced the intention to maintain regular exercise. Fourth, satisfaction was found to mediate the relationship between MZ generation’s golf flow and their intention to adhere to exercise
Conclusion: It is important to recognize the significance of the flow exeprience in golf for the MZ generation, as it contributes to achieving higher levels of satisfaction and, subsequently, a greater intention to adhere to exercise. Strategies to enhance exercise adherence should consider the role of golf flow and the resulting satisfaction among this demographic.
