Autobiographical literature is the result of personal history and self-exploration. Ultimately, it is significant in that it is in line with the establishment of identity. Yuanmei's ≪Xiaocangshanfangshiji小倉山房詩集≫ has clear autobiographical characteristics enough to confirm his life history. In particular, since resignation, these kinds of works have increased significantly. Yuanmei's autobiographical poem basically started from 'self-recovery' due to unemployment. In the process, he proceeded with self-exploration in various ways and tried to reveal existential value. For example, he mentioned appearance, ability to create poetry, political history, dislike, like, preferences, tastes, and hobbies. In addition, he expressed his belief without hesitation about the Confucian scriptures, Buddhism, Taoism, etc. And he drew lines with the historical human types of moral people, hermites beyond reality, and favorite drinker. He called himself the 'master達人' and tried to highlight his own unique side that was different from them. And he didn't end up in an ideological and abstract metaphor, sought to prove practical ability. He was confident in his excellent poetry creation ability and tried to establish his status as a 'poet'. In this process of self-discovery, what was inevitably required was the creation of autobiography. If you look at the characteristics, first based on the poetics theory he claimed, he harmoniously fuses narratives and emotions to express himself, second he highlighted his individuality and desire, third he embodied his appearance and life through detailed self-observation. With this method of autobiographical insight, he was able to use it as an opportunity to find his identity and prepare a subjective self-image.
