This study analyzed the impact of job-seeking stress experienced by college students majoring in aviation service on their adaptation to college life and job preparation behaviors. The objective of this study was to evaluate whether social support had a moderating effect on these relationships. This study conducted an online survey using a convenience sampling method targeting college students majoring in aviation services in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheong-do, and Jeolla-do. The data were processed by means of an SPSS 26.0 program, which was used to perform descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis and moderating effects. The findings of this study are as follows. First, the academic anxiety and employment anxiety of job-seeking stress negatively influenced the employment anxiety and academic adaptation of adaptation to college life. Second, the personality anxiety and academic anxiety of job-seeking stress positively affected the preliminary job preparation behaviors of job preparation behaviors, while the personality anxiety, academic anxiety, and employment anxiety of job-seeking stress had a positive effect on the full-fledged job preparation behaviors of job preparation behaviors. Third, social support partially moderated the relationship between job-seeking stress and college environmental adaptation and the relationship between job-seeking stress and college academic adaptation. Fourth, social support partially moderated the relationship between job-seeking stress and preliminary job preparation behaviors and the relationship between job stress and full-fledged job preparation behaviors. Based on these findings, this study suggested practical measures to improve the adaptation to college life and job preparation behaviors of college students majoring in aviation service and provided practical implications for the competitive operation of aviation service departments.
