This study investigated the moderating effects of family support and friends·seniors support on the relationship between major satisfaction and job-seeking stress of university students. The participants in this study consisted of 307 university students throughout Korea. The participants completed questionnaires on ‘Major Satisfaction’, ‘Employment Stress Scale’, ‘Family Support Scale’, and ‘Friends·Seniors Support Scale’. The collected data were mainly analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation and the hierarchical regression analysis by using SPSS 25.0 program. The main results of this study were as follows. First, there were significant differences in job-seeking stress according to individual characteristics such as gender, school type, grade, career path after graduation, school satisfaction, degree of job preparation, and economic living conditions. Second, major satisfaction was negatively correlated with job-seeking stress. Job-seeking stress was also negatively correlated with family support and friends·seniors support. Third, a moderator effect of the family support was found in the relationship between major satisfaction and job-seeking stress among the university students. but there was not a moderator effect of the friends·seniors support. This study suggests that improvement on major satisfaction and activation of family supports are needed to achieve a low level of job-seeking stress of university students. In addition, it is meaningful to examine the factors affecting university students' job-seeking stress and to suggest a way to alleviate them.
