Purpose This study is to investigate the the association, in the nursing students, between clinical practice stress and practice burnout and the mediating effect of resilience for the association. Methods The subjects of this descriptive research study were 3rd and 4th year nursing students in a university located in M city. Data were collected from Nov. 2 to 30, 2020 and analyzed using SPSS/WIN 26.0 for descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient and Baron & Kenny's analysis method for the mediating effect analysis. Results There were significant negative correlation between clinical practice stress and resilience (r=-.148, p<.05), significant positive correlation between clinical practice stress and practice burnout (r=.488, p<.001), and significant negative correlation between resilience and practice burnout (r=-.449, p<.001). A partial mediating effect of resilience in the correlation between clinical practice stress and practice burnout was found in this study. Conclusion The results of this study suggested that the development of various programs are required to cope with stress successfully and improve resilience in the clinical practice setting.
