International multimodal transport is giving by international forworders affected on the overall functions of port. Matching physical distribution's systematization, maritime transportation with container would be rapidly developed.
Recently, the development in the increasing of efficiency and the improvement of physical distribution's services on the supply of international commodity based on door to door.
The advance of international multimodal transport is contributed to enhance international competition power along the guantitative improvement and freight in physical distribution.
This paper is analysed that the problems of international multimodal transport which is increased transport freight by complexity linked with sea, land and air's transport process. International multimodal transport system is highly valuated as a tool of international physical distribution.
Because it is formed with their foreland's area between Korea's West Sea Area and China's East Sea Area, port to port transport of both foreland's area is convenient than the international multimodal transport.
To summarize the above, at first, it is commented on the relations of international multimodal transport and the functions of port, and second, the economic effects of port to port transport of the foreland's area would be compared with international transport system.
