The purpose of this study is to present how and why Christians run home-schooling education instead of sending their children to public schools This study briefly reviewed the history of home-schooling movement of other countries, while stressing the alternative characters of home-school education, in examining the possibility of home-school education in Korea.The purpose of this study is to present how and why Christians run home-schooling education instead of sending their children to public schools This study briefly reviewed the history of home-schooling movement of other countries, while stressing the alternative characters of home-school education, in examining the possibility of home-school education in Korea.
In order to establish Christian home-schools in Korea, this study offered two directions. First, it suggested that how evangelical Church should support this educational agenda; second, how parents may conduct home education instead of public education in Korean society.
This research presented that Home-schooling is now accepted as legal institution all over the world. It is not at all illegal and anti-social or anti-national. Rather, it is more beneficial for the nation, providing a vitality to the public education, and fulfilling alternative educational needs in the society. It is insisted that Home-schooling is one of the best way of providing most pious Christian education, to those who believe they are delegate the educational responsibility of their children by God.
