The purpose of this study was to examine the features of <Hwang Ryong Sa Gu Cheung Tap>, the epic poem which was recomposed on the basis of the narrative from <Sam Guk Yu Sa>. This study noted that the Buddhist narrative, which got entangled in the construction process of Hwang Ryong Sa Gu Cheung Tap, was received into an epic poem, and this study compared this epic poem with the structure of pagoda relation narratives. This study could find that the general epic poems focused on heroic deeds, whereas this epic poem expressed the divinity of pagoda rather than the heroism of characters. For this, first of all, this study examined the character-centered epic structure feature and the pagoda-centric epic structure feature as the structural features of epic poems, and considered the points discriminated from the character-centered epic poem. As a result, this study could find the pagoda-centric epic structure feature, which was composed of the order from pagoda construction plan through pagoda construction process to pagoda construction completion, and King Deok Man-centric epic structure feature. That is, this study found the feature of recomposing the Buddhist narrative of pagoda relation narrative. On the one hand, the feature of this epic poem is that various narratives are inserted to play the role of expressing indirectly the personality of hero, and highlighting the consciousness of theme. Such narratives include Li Cha Don narrative, Ji Gwi narrative, and A Bi Ji narrative. Li Cha Don emerges as the character of achieving the fundamental of Sin Ra Buddhism, and Ji Gwi emerges the character of revealing the human aspect of King Deok Man, and finally A Bi Ji emerges the leading character of building the pagoda. This epic poem presents the inevitability of the three Kingdoms' unification through each character of Li Cha Don as Go Gu Ryeo citizen, A Bi Ji as Baek Je citizen, and King Deok Man as Sin Ra citizen. Although all the characters of Li Cha Don, Ji Gwi, and A Bi Ji are the heros of tragic love, they develop the story to accomplish the broader love of the three Kingdoms's unification, so that they can be connected to the implicit theme to present the unification of North and South Korea as love in the 1970s.
