Land Information System is the essential element of land management and whole land use planning. Land Information System in Korea is based on two main subsystems. Those are cadastre and land registration system, but the discordance between two systems has been found in many cases.
The problem is that the discordance among some land information cause much troubles in many aspects, which are in legal, economic, social, and public works.
To remove the discordance problem and keep the effective management of LIS system, it's hopeful that cadastre, land registration and other LIS systems should be united to one in managerial structure and information itself.
Before starting newly integrated LIS system, Examination of Nation land(or Renovation of cadastre) must be excuted throughly as a preliminary step.
Besides unification of the structure of system, the technic in making land information is special in that documentary information be changed into graphical form which contains accurately same meaning.
Finacincing strategy to make and to run a new LIS system is important, but the duty to raise fund be divided into possible triangular way, which are in national, local government and in private sectors.
