This study aims to discuss and suggest principles and methods for releasing large-scale villages from Green Belt.
The major findings of this research can be summarized as follows :
First, the government guideline regarding the Green Belt is not appropriate in a practical work. The re-designing standards of the guidelines does not contain the built-lands isolated by cluster of houses and agricultural parcels surrounded by built-areas. To solve these problems, it is necessary to enlarge the releasing boundary in case of villages.
Second, existing principles of the central government cannot handle the diverse cases in terms of including or excluding the parcels which are in bordering areas. Therefore, additional principles for clarifying boundaries need to be complement and this study attempt to suggest the complementary principles.
For the enlarged areas which exceed the aerial scope defined by the government guideline, we can utilize them for public objectives such as roads, sewages, meeting rooms, cultural facilities, social housing, and so on.
