Even though “Pungyo” has been regarded as a folk song because of it’s repeated pattern of poetic words and the narrative records in 『Samgukyusa』, a study on ‘Pungyo’ has been neglected in terms of oral tradition, form and subject matters as a folk song. The words like “來女” “哀” “功德” “多羅”also imply Buddhist images and messages as a words play. In conclusion, the attitude toward to the acception of folk song and narrative was mainly focused on the solidification of Buddhistic power and expansion.
Finally, “Pyungyo” had utilized folk song, however, the way of utilization was a polished and refined words and formation. Through this well-arranged transformation, personal suffering was relieved and dissolved as a shared-public matters.
