There are in 'Baesikdansa' in the Tomb 'Jangrung' a wood plate, on that was carved the name of 268 faithful1 retainer.
They are royal retainers, who were died for restoration of the king 'Dan jong' in the year 1457.
The wood plate is classified into four, namely chungsinwy, josawy, hwakawnwy, yoinwy.
In the yoinwy, that is woman retainers, are carved seven names, namely 'Yangssi, jagae, io's wife, yongan, naunduk, bulduk, dukbi'. The last four women are shaman.
These four women had a mishap by attempt of restoration with devination or fortunetelling. If anybody tried a plot of treason in the middle age, they must be hacking a criminal into pieces.
But the shaman do it for the her master 'Danjong'. They are special amnesty, it was proved by the research. They went to a place of exile with the king 'Danjong'. They were deportee, till the Danjong was killed through the government. And they were died in defense of one's chastity.
Thar the shaman was included in faithfull retainer in the society of confucianism was not a occurrence by accident. They participate to restoration of the king 'Dan jong' in the year 1457 at the risk of one's life. It should be revalue the shaman's heroic doing and high position of the shamanism in josun-dynasty.
