This paper deals with both problems involved in the analysis language structures and problems involved in the expressions of political/social issues. The former turned out to belong to the so-called Plato's problem, whereas the latter turned out to belong to the so-called Orwell's problem.
The analysis of linguistic problems requires scientific research attitudes, but that of political/social problems requires only common sense and some healthful skepticism.
Apparently, it seems that there are no relationships between linguistics and political/social sciences, but at an abstract level, for example, with regard to a coconcept of human freedom that animates both endeavors.
Intellectuals, including linguists as well as scholars in political/social sciences; should remember to have intellectual self-defense. So linguists (not unlike scholars in the other scholastic fields) should have willingness to face politicaVsocial problems.
The core object of studying linguistics is, as for the author's opinion, is to provide us, the human beings, with the right way in which we look at ourselves. Accordingly, we can come to get an idea leading to arriving at the state of keeping ourselves with "intellectual self-defense". This naturally leads us to take part in the problem-solving field in which political/social are to be dealt with, to say nothing of linguistics problem.
